Usually the Panaeolus Cyanescens are known as “Hawaiians” (or “Copelandia”) but, in reality the Panaeoulus Cyanescens family can be found in Brazil, Mexico and even in France. As the name says, this strain of Panaeolus Cyanescens was found in the island of Jamaica which has perfect conditions for this strain. As the other strains of Panaeolus Cyanescens also the “Jamaica” needs a bit more attention than the Psilocybe Cubensis strains since is more sensible to humidity, temperature and fresh air also it will not colonise the substrate as heavily as the Psilocybe Cubensis strains. The Panaeolus Cyanescens “Jamaica” will require a bit more attention when cultivating but, when the first pins come up you will have a sea of greys mushrooms heads. The best substrate for Panaeolus Cyanescens “Jamaica” is a dung based one, the optimal temperature is 23ºC to 26,5ºC with humidity between 90% and 99% having also a lot of air exchange. The mushrooms have thin steams and a small heads but, can grow up to 25 cm.
